Khoury Oriental Rugs was founded by Leon Khoury, Jr. & Paul Raad in the Spring of 2001. Both Leon & Paul have a true affection toward oriental rugs. They each were considering ways of establishing an oriental rug business in the South Carolina market. Paul s childhood friend, Elie Herro, was asked if he would consider an opportunity to move his family from Lebanon to South Carolina in order to start a small rug company. Elie has been in the industry over 20 years and is well trained in the flooring textile industry. Elie jumped at the chance to live in America. The initial operation was a one man show and has grown in the last 5 years into a two location operation with more than 15,000 sq. ft. of showroom space.
